Third Saturday of Lent / Commemoration of the Departed, Tone 6.

Beatitudes Verses, on 6: 6, from the Octoechos.

1. Remember me, O God my Savior, when Thou shalt come in Thy kingdom, and save

me, in that Thou alone lovest mankind.

2. Undaunted by fire, the sword, or the savage onslaught of wild beasts, O glorious –

passion-bearers, ye have been vouchsafed life everlasting.

3. O Thou Who lovest mankind, and Who hast glorified the prophets and teachers, the

venerable and the righteous, by their supplications save Thou our souls.

4. Those who in faith have departed from temporal things do Thou number with all the

saints and righteous, O Word, that we may glorify Thee.

5. We glorify the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, saying: O Holy Trinity, save Thou

our souls!

6. Thou hast been shown to be blessed among all generations; for in truth thou didst

ineffably give birth to our blessed God, O all-pure one.

At the entrance, the choir sings:

O come let us worship and fall down before Christ, Who art wondrous in the saints, O

Son of God, save us who sing to Thee: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

Troparia & Kontakia

Tone 2:  O Apostles, Martyrs, and Prophets, /

Venerable and Righteous Ones; /

ye that have accomplished a good labor and kept the Faith, /

that have boldness before the Savior; //

O Good Ones, intercede for us, we pray, that our souls be saved.

Remember, O Lord, Thy servants, for Thou art good, /

and forgive them whatsoever sins they have committed in life; /

for none is sinless but Thee, Who art able to give repose //

unto them that are departed.

Glory… Tone 8:

With the saints give rest, O Christ, to the souls of Thy servants, //

where there is neither sickness, nor sorrow, nor sighing, but life everlasting.

Both now…  Tone 8:

In thee we have a wall and a haven, /

and an intercessor acceptable to God, Whom thou didst bear, //

O Theotokos unwedded, salvation of the faithful.
