Errata
P. 3, entry for January 3rd:
At the praises, the stichera for the Forefeast are not from the Matins
Aposticha, but from the praises.
P. 16, entry for January 10th:
The incipit given for the Kontakion of the Theophany is incorrect. It should be
“Thou hast appeared today”. At the
Beatitudes, it should read “Beatitudes on 12”, the rest is correct.
P. 17, entry for January 10th:
At the Aposticha, the rubrics should read: “Octoechos; G: Hierarch (Seeing thy godly life aright); N: Feast (Seeing Thee).” We
reproduced an error found in the 2005 Jordanville Calendar.
The pericope for the Gospel is correct, but the chapter and
verses should read “Matthew 10:1,5-8.”
The communion hymn follows what was in the Jordanville Calendar for 2005, but the Jordanville Calendar for 2011 has Praise the Lord in the heavens. & In everlasting remembrance shall the righteous be. And while both options are defensible, what is found in the Jordanville 2011 calendar appears to be a better interpretation.
p. 19, entry for January 17th,
we followed the 2005 Jordanville Calendar is calling for the Troparia at
vespers to be “O Theotokos and Virgin
x3”, but the 2010 Jordanville Calendar (as well as the MP Calendar) calls for
it to be “O Theotokos and Virgin x2;
Saint (Emulating the ways of the zealous
Elijah) x1.”
p. 22 ,
entry for January 24th, at Lord
I have Cried, the rubrics should have read “Saints 6”.
p. 43, at Lord I have cried, it should read
“Martyrs 3.”
P. 95, entry for April 4th,
at the liturgy, the rubrics should have read: “The festal antiphons are sung in
place of the usual Typical Psalms and Beatitudes.”
P. 188, at the Aposticha, the
Theotokion should be “Christ the Lord”.
p. 202, at the Aposticha, the sticheron of the
Cross at “Both now…” should be “O God, the
words of Moses.”
p. 207, the Katavasia should
be: The choirs of Israel passed dry-shod,
i.e. the Katavasia of the Transfiguration.
p. 223, the Theotokion after
Ode 3 is not We, thy sinful servants…
This is what is in the SJKP Menaion, but that is because they have combined the
service for Righteous Elizabeth with Righteous Zachariah… a change which
occurred at the time of the Empress Elizabeth of Russia. The Jordanville calendar calls for the
original commemoration, and so the proper Theotokion is:

p. 252. At the hours, it should read: Troparia: Resurrection; G: Monkmartyr;
Kontakion: Resurrection.
p.256, there are readings for
the saint, which are not reflected in the printed rubrics, and the Prokimena,
Epistles, Alleluia, Gospel, and Communion verses should read:
Prokimenon: Tone 4: How magnified are Thy works O Lord. &
Tone 4: In the saints that are in His
earth hath the Lord been wondrous.
Epistle: Galatians 2:16-20
(§203); Hebrews 11:33-40 (§330).
